CMC Vellore Eligibility and other Details

How to Apply

Applying for sponsorship is a two-step process. You must apply to CMC Vellore first, and then separately apply to the Jacobite Sponsoring Body.

Step 1: Apply to CMC Vellore (The Primary Step)

Before seeking church sponsorship, you must register as a candidate on the official CMC Vellore website.

Visit the Portal: Go to admissions.cmcvellore.ac.in.
Registration: Fill out the basic details to generate a Temporary Login ID.
Select Category: When filling out the application, ensure you select the right courses and application category for each course as "Minority Network" and sub category ”37- Malankara Jacobite Syrian Orthodox Church.
Note Your CMC Application Number: Once you pay the CMC application fee, you will receive a 7-digit CMC Application Number (Usually it takes 2/3 working days. You will receive the application number on your registered Mobile Number and Email) This number is mandatory for your sponsorship application.

Step 2: Apply for Jacobite Church Sponsorship

Once you have your CMC Application Number, you must apply to the Malankara Jacobite Syrian Orthodox Church Sponsoring Body.

Be Familiar: Read the Steps of Online Application Process and be familiar with what to do and what not.
Online Application : Go to https://www.jacobitesponsorship.com and complete the sponsorship application process
Application Fees: Pay the sponsorship application fee online (₹750 irrespective of number of courses) before final submission of Online Application.
Print the Application: You must Download and print the Application after final Submission.
Recommendation: You must get a Recommendation signed and sealed by your Parish Vicar and Diocesan Metropolitan in the designated Pages of your Application Printout.
Send The Completed Application: Send the completed form along with required enclosures to the Sponsoring Body Office early before the deadline.
Attend Exam and Interview: Appear for Exam and Interview conducted by the sponsoring body under the supervision of CMC Vellore usually by the second week of April. Hall Tickets will be sent to the given WhatsApp Number with Date, Time and Venue (Parent or authorised Guardian should accompany student)

Soft Copy of Photo (Format : JPEG , Size : 10-200 KB)
UPI Payment Option to scan QR and Pay the Application Fees of Rs. 750/-
Printer & Scanner to Print the Application after final submission and scan the candidates photo.

Online Application Steps

Step-by-Step Guide to Apply for Jacobite Sponsorship (CMC Vellore)

This guide explains each step involved in submitting the Jacobite Sponsorship online application for CMC Vellore.

0: Before You Start (Important)

Please ensure the following before starting the application:

The applicant must be a member of the Malankara Jacobite Syrian Orthodox Church.
Keep your CMC Application Number ready. ( A 7 digit number that you will get within 2/3 working days after submitting CMC application)
Prepare the following in advance:
- Candidate's photo (10 KB – 200 KB)
- Parish and Diocese details
- Two Mobile numbers (WhatsApp). All Communications will be sent to this number only
- Online payment facility (UPI)
Application fee: ₹750/- (online payment only).
Note: A hard copy of the final application PDF must be submitted to the office after online submission.

1: Login to the Sponsorship Portal

Open the Jacobite Sponsoring Body website.
Enter your CMC Application Number.
Enter your Password.
- If you are a first-time user, you will create a password in the next step.
Click Login.

2: Read Instructions & Confirm Application Number

After login, you will see a confirmation screen displaying your CMC Application Number.

Carefully read the instructions provided:

Applicant must be a Jacobite Church member.
Read all instructions, required documents, and deadlines carefully.
Hard copy submission of the application is mandatory.

3: Step 1 – Personal Details

Fill in the candidate’s personal information:

5: Step 3 – Course & Parish Details

Course Selection

Select only those courses for which you have applied at CMC Vellore under category minority network sub category 37-Malankara Jacobite Syrian Orthodox Church.
You can add or remove courses.
For PG Courses additional details needs to be filled

Only for Post Graduate Courses

Marital Status
- If you are married enter spouse details.
Course Completed and Mission Service Details
- If applying for PG, Enter the details of Courses Completed and Mission Hospital (Only those Hospitals in CMC Network) Service details if any.

Parish & Diocese Details

Mother Parish Name
- If residing in Kerala, enter the name of the parish where Parents and Candidate are members.
- If residing outside Kerala, enter the name of the parish in Kerala where Parents and Candidate are members. (Parish Recommendation Should be obtained from this Church)
Select Diocese
- If residing in Kerala, choose the diocese where your parish belongs.
- If residing outside Kerala, choose the diocese where you are an active member and enter the details

After verifying details, click Next.

6: Step 4 – Other Details & Declaration

Answer the following questions truthfully:

Have you been sponsored in previous years?
Has any family member studied in CMC Vellore as a Jacobite-sponsored candidate?
Have any siblings applied to CMC Vellore this year?
Have you applied for sponsorship through any other sponsoring body?

Declaration

Tick the checkbox confirming that all details provided are true.
Note: Any false information can lead to rejection of the application.

7: Application Fee Payment

Mode of Payment

Select Online Payment. (Click the select button to view the QR)
Scan the provided QR code using any UPI app.
Pay ₹750/-. Only

Upload Payment Details

Upload payment screenshot.
Enter Transaction ID.
Enter Name of account holder from which payment was made.

Click Next after successful upload.

8: Final Submission & PDF Download

Once payment details are verified:

You will see “Application submitted successfully”.
Click View / Print Application to generate the PDF.

9: Important Final Steps

Download and print the generated application PDF.
Complete any remaining requirements mentioned in the PDF.
Submit the hard copy to the office address mentioned in the PDF.

Re-login Option

To re-download the application or check offline submission status:
- Login using CMC Application Number & Password.

Important Notes

Online submission alone is not sufficient.
Hard copy submission is mandatory.
For any corrections after submission, contact the Jacobite Sponsoring Body office.

Important Dates

Applicants are advised not to wait until the last minute to submit their applications. The Sponsoring Body assumes no responsibility for technical delays, admission portal errors due to high traffic, postal delays, or similar last-minute obstacles.

Do's and Don'ts

What to Do ✅

Do check the specific deadline for Jacobite Sponsoring Body; it is often earlier than the CMC deadline.
Do ensure your name on the church form matches exactly with your CMC application.
Regularly check the given WhatsApp account to ensure you do not miss any important communications or your Hall Ticket.
Be prepared for "Service Obligation" (Bond); sponsored candidates must serve in a mission hospital for specified years after graduation.
Send the printed-copy of your completed application along with the required enclosures to the Sponsoring Body Office before the deadline. Failure to do so will result in the rejection of your application.

What NOT to Do ❌

Don't wait for NEET results to apply for sponsorship (for UG courses); apply as soon as the Application Portals opens.
Don't send original certificates by post; only send self-attested photocopies.
Don't submit duplicate applications for the same candidate; it may lead to rejection.
Don't assume sponsorship guarantees admission; selection is still strictly based on merit and CMC's internal criteria.
